How does it work?

Assessment

First of all, I'll need to take as much information about your injury as I can. Rather than firing questions at you constantly I prefer to allow you to tell me the story, and at the end If I feel I need more information I'll ask you. Nobody will know your pain better than you, so who better to tell it in their own words? From here I can plan the rest of our 60-minute appointment regarding treatment and rehabilitation.

Plan

Based on this assessment, I'll produce an in-depth treatment plan to help see your injuries put right. This could involve mobility treatments, massages, acupuncture – everyone is different, so your plan will be completely tailored to your needs. I'll present this plan to you before we go any further.

Work

Once the plan is presented and agreed, we can get to the fun stuff! The gym and treatment room at the sports therapy clinic in Essex are waiting for you. We can get started on your rehabilitation, in whatever form that takes, fix you up and get you back in the saddle (or on the bike, or in the pool or wherever you love to be)!

Follow Up

Follow-up sessions in some cases are a necessity to monitor the progress of your injury, whereas some others can be managed independently with your homework. The decision of returning will be advised to you during the appointment as it will differ for every client and what their needs are.

Why see a Sports Therapist?

While a regular massage therapist can certainly make you feel relaxed and soothed, sports massage is a little different. At my sports therapy clinic in Southend, I'm much more specialised in biomechanical issues – they're my speciality! Sports therapists are far more specialised in what they can do for you, regarding actual bodily repair, focusing on a specific area.

“Suffering with lower back pain for half a lifetime, Kieran managed to set me straight in a manner of speaking. With a bit of posture rehabilitation and some exercises to take home, eventually the pain had cleared up completely and I could sit upright at my desk. Life saver!”
Alexandra Webber, Office Worker
